Hello and welcome. It is Monday, July twenty seventh. Stocks rose yesterday while gold fell. Why? The Tehran Stock Exchange main index gained one hundred seven thousand points yesterday. At the nine oh five opening tick it jumped about eighty thousand five hundred points. But in those same hours, the dollar, gold and the Emami coin all retreated. Real money was behind it: about six thousand one hundred sixty billion tomans of retail inflow. Now the key point: spot gold rose almost one percent that same night. So gold did not get cheaper. What got cheaper was the dollar inside the gold. Look at the currency market: the free dollar at one hundred eighty six thousand five hundred tomans. The Exchange Center rate is administered and slow; the free rate prices expectations instantly. Depending on how the talks go, three paths lie ahead for the exchange rate. Remember, the gold bullion auction margin deadline ends today; the auction is tomorrow. Globally, both Bitcoin and Ether were in the green this morning. Watch four things today, from the bullion auction to the Federal Reserve meeting. Yesterday's verdict is clear: it was stocks' day, not gold's. So here is the answer: stocks rose because the rial firmed, not because gold got cheaper. Full analysis on Sahmino.com.
