Transcript

Yesterday afternoon a barrel of Brent crude traded near eighty four dollars, its lowest level in more than a week. This morning the same barrel is eighty seven dollars and sixty one cents, up four and a half percent overnight. The cause reported was the end of a brief diplomatic pause and a return of regional tension. Yesterday's winners were stocks and gold, and the main loser was the Emami coin. The Emami coin premium shrank by one million seven hundred thirty one thousand tomans in one session. Because Tuesday's auction offered twenty five kilograms of standard bullion, and all of it sold. On that same day, both eighteen karat gold and the free market dollar moved higher. When gold rises but the coin falls, the board is telling you supply pressure, not intrinsic value. The free market dollar rose one point one seven percent and crossed one hundred ninety thousand tomans. Tehran stocks closed a fifth green session at five million one hundred nine thousand points. The oil jump feeds straight into refiners, steel, the currency market and cars. Watch the nine o'clock market open today, and the Federal Reserve decision tonight. Today's verdict is simple: supply can shrink a premium, but it cannot shrink a risk premium. So oil came back, and that number drives today. Full analysis on Sahmino.com. Does this jump hold?
