Vomahan Cut Its Price for 5% of Taban Farda by 35%: Where the Real Value of Iran's Biggest Pending IPO Sits (Thursday, July 23, 2026)
For weeks the 5% offering of Taban Farda Petrochemical Group has been called "the biggest IPO in Iran's market history." Yet on July 11, 2026, the value of Vomahan's 5% purchase was revised down from 425 to 275 trillion rials, meaning the two counterparties themselves cut the price by about 35%. This report separates three valuation anchors, tests the "record" claim in dollars, and corrects the wrong prices circulating online. This is not buy or sell advice.

Everyone is calling it the biggest IPO ever; but one number tells a different story. Taban Farda, the oil pension fund's investment arm, is about to list in Tehran. On July eleventh, the buyer and seller cut the deal's value by thirty-five percent. This revision was filed on Codal; a real transaction, not just an expert opinion. Three value anchors are circulating, from three hundred eighteen to eleven hundred trillion tomans. The previous record belonged to the Shasta offering in April twenty twenty. But in dollars, Taban Farda is about two point eight billion, smaller than Shasta. So the record holds only in rials; inflation built this number, not market growth. And the prices circulating online are wrong; they belonged to the Pariz offering. This offering equals two full days of retail turnover, while money keeps leaving. The exchange's own listings chief says they are still waiting for the right time. So until the official notice and prospectus, no date or price is certain. The portfolio is strong; but the only real data on price is that thirty-five percent cut. So the record shrank in dollars. Full analysis on Sahmino.com; does the base price land high, or fair?
